Zoo Life

This past couple of years my focus has really centered on experiences. Experiences individually, as a family and shared with others...making memories. One of our experiences this summer was a trip to the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. We took the older three to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha seven years ago, but Little Miss had never been so I took this opportunity when it became available.

The kids loved the penguin, tortoise and lion feedings. They were able to ask the trainers questions and each trainer seemed genuinely excited to share with the kids. They saw the sea lion show, which was really exciting to watch. Little Miss fed a giraffe and both of the girls road on a camel with mommy.

These are moments I cherish...the kids learning, giggling, living life and sharing it with me!
