Welcome to my blog! This is a place for me to write and share with family, friends and those who stumble upon our story. The most recent story begins in November 2011 with the "July 11th" post. The prequel to this story began back in June 2011 with the "The making of CCA" post.

Who am I

I am a wife of 12 years and mother to 4, ages 7-16. We lived in a corn crib which we remodeled in rural Iowa. After losing the corn crib in 2011, we rebuilt on the property (documented in my 2012 blog posts). I consider my in-law's to be some of my best support team and am active in our church, where my father-in-law is pastor.

I put myself though school cleaning and assisting with domestic responsibilities. I have an education in Office Administration and worked many years for various companies. I have a passion for families and children and have spent almost as many years working with children and adults with mental and physical disabilities.

After having children, we arranged schedules so our children could be with us as much as possible. I have always been their primary care giver. Having been home educated ourselves, my husband and I have chosen to do the same with our kids.

I love God, my hubby and kiddos. I find great joy in time spent with people, be it watching movies, playing games or sharing our thoughts and ideas. I love learning, baking, photography, scrapbooking, and most other crafts.

I strive to be the best ME I can and to discover who she is meant to be.
