Vaca Part 1: Pro Football Hall of Fame

While the focus of our vacation this year was on Washington DC, we were given four tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and knew we couldn't pass on this opportunity. We made Canton, OH our stop over on the thousand mile trip and gave ourselves a few hours to look around and take in the history of the sport the guys in our house love most.

The space is easy to get turned around in, but had lots of hands on things for children (and adults) to try, like a set of pads, helmet with instructions from a coach being broadcast, hand impressions to see just how big these guys are.

This one is hard to explain...well, not hard, but it just sounds really odd. These are casts of the legs of players. You can see my girls standing in them...just odd, but cool!

This room was something incredible to see. Each Hall of Fame inductee is represented here with a cast of their head in bronze (I think). The detail was amazing and the sheer number of men represented was more could be captured.

Look, but don't touch! The kids enjoyed their moment with the Super Bowl trophy. We also saw many of the Super Bowl rings and other awards, information on the forming of what we know as football, videos of highlights and memorabilia from various players.

And of course a trip through the gift shop was needed and a couple items from their favorite teams acquired. A pin, two soft footballs, several pens and pencils and a Lego character came home with us!
