Welcome to my blog! This is a place for me to write and share with family, friends and those who stumble upon our story. The most recent story begins in November 2011 with the "July 11th" post. The prequel to this story began back in June 2011 with the "The making of CCA" post.

May Birthday Fun!

While not quite as full as October, May brings the celebration of many family (and friend) birthdays! We honor my Mother-in-law, Father-in-law, Dad, Brother-in-law...just to name a few. But the month starts out with our younger son's birthday.

This year he turned eight and is all about the Lego. I made a birthday banner in the "Lego" logo font, ice cubes and candies shaped like Lego blocks and people and tried my hand at cake pops decorated in crazy Lego colors (per my son's directions). I also attempted a Lego block cake...but was very disappointed with the way it turned out. Thankfully, he was thrilled that I had tried!

Blowing out his number eight candle!

Opening his gifts...Legos, Legos, and some Lego shirts!

His Granny was unable to make the party, but made a special stop to deliver his gift...you guessed it:  Legos!

It is always such a joy to celebrate the lives of those close to me. Thanks to all who helped remind him how very special he is to so many.
