Welcome to my blog! This is a place for me to write and share with family, friends and those who stumble upon our story. The most recent story begins in November 2011 with the "July 11th" post. The prequel to this story began back in June 2011 with the "The making of CCA" post.

The Making of CCA part 8

After the birth of our second child, our beautiful little R, we faced the biggest challenge yet with the corn crib: financing. We had managed ok, but between cutting my hours back more and expenses growing, we needed to make a change. So we had worked frantically to get the house done enough to appraise it so we could refinance.

The beautiful built in bookshelves Ben made for me in the dinning room.

The view from the front window, looking north over the driveway.

The master bedroom with the cutest little window we found on clearance. I love watching the stars at night!

Above: The corn/pellet stove we use for heating. We placed it in the living room under the stairs to the bedrooms.
Below: The "catwalk" at the top of the stairs to the loft bedrooms (which were eventually closed in).

But after getting back a great appraisal, the bank we had been working with declined to continue the process...the week our little one was born! Talk about stressful! God had His hand in this too, because that weekend we ran into the realtor we had worked with and he got us an in with a local bank. The bank held a special meeting to approve our loan and we signed with them when little R was just 15 days old! Wow! I still get goosebumps thinking of how this whole chapter was orchestrated. Evidence to me that we were suppose to be on this property.

Next...the story of one of my most challenging personal experiences and how I have come to see the Glory in it!
